During my each visit to Bangalore, we three, Nithya Shankar,
Roopesh Ramakrishnan and me, usually meet at Café Coffee Day at J P Nagar. Anything
can happen over a coffee; yes Café Coffee Day’s catchword is really perfect. There,
we always talk on one subject which we all don’t want to implement! That’s marriage.
Everybody want to know when the rest will retire from their bachelor’s /spinster’s
life!!! Everybody will pull other’s leg
on the same and will end up in laugh. Nithya
always worried about her parents and grandparents pressure while Rupu is always
worried about when to settle down to marry, and me not now and “expect the
unexpected”.
We are together since 2006, immediately after our college
days at AMC Bangalore, regular chats over net, hour long phone calls and meeting at regular intervals.
Everywhere the topic never changed. "When is your marriage?" . What makes us discuss this topic more than
anything else? Even though we are not interested to get married soon, we are interested
to talk more on that topic, but just for fun.
We share our views and anxiety of being get married. How do
we adjust with the coming partner? How can I change my attitude for that
particular one…? Our talk goes on. Nithya’s parents already started searching
for a partner for her. Every day they compel her to open the mail and check the
new proposals from the parents of the boy or from the boy himself. Rupu’s father has fixed a deadline for his
wedding. But still I’m a free bird….till when? Hahahaha…..
Dear parents, please forgive us for only talking, but not seriously.... :)
